CORPORATE/PRODUCT FACT SHEET
What is Nuptial Essentials? A training program essential to wedding consultants, founded by
Amy Mader.
Amy has over 20 years and has coordinated over 200 weddings.
In June of 2004, Amy realized the need to provide better training for event planners who choose to
specialize in weddings. She saw a way to provide comprehensive training for new and experienced consultants, as well as vendors
and service providers. After researching current offerings in the training industry, Amy spent 16 months putting together a
program to meet these needs. She created a 27-chapter manual which includes everything from starting a business to “how to”
guidelines; with in-depth coverage on planning and executing weddings. Students who successfully complete the Nuptial Essentials
program will gain status as the most sought-after consultants in their chosen geographic areas.
Amy also realized a strong need for regulation and performance standards, and hence secured a license as a
vocational school from the Texas Workforce Commission Career Schools and Veterans Education. Few other companies can claim
such legitimacy, ensuring that paying students receive comprehensive training and the appropriate credentials to become a professional
wedding consultant.
Nuptial Essentials also differentiates itself through a caring and sustaining environment. They offer each student a personal
advisor to provide support throughout the training program.
- New wedding consultants learn the essentials of planning and executing weddings, along with good business practices from start
up to managing the business. The 15-week online class is taught live once a week. The self-paced
Distance Education class is offered
year-round and begins for each individual when they register for the class.
- Experienced wedding consultants learn to further their industry knowledge. Continuing Education Seminars
are offered at various
locations around the country. Topics include a variety of up-to-date business, industry, and personal-growth programs such as
(but not limited to): advertising/marketing, insurance, legal matters, wedding décor, entertainment, tents/rentals, people management,
communication skills, etc.
- Vendors and service providers, such as caterers and facilities managers, learn to improve their relationships with wedding
consultants and increase market share through a better working knowledge of the industry. They can earn credentials through online
classes, distance ed, and continuing ed seminars.
